Mission Statement

The parishioners of Sacred Heart and Saint Ann Catholic Churches of the Diocese of Rochester, joyfully embrace our baptismal call to worship God, to preach the Good news of Christ, to build our community of faith and hope in the Holy Spirit and to advance the reign of God by striving to meet the needs of the community through religious ecumenism and responding to the Second Vatican Council's call for the ongoing conversion of the Church.

  • Lectors - proclaim the Scriptures (Word of God) at Mass and other liturgical gatherings of the faith community.

  • Eucharist Ministers - are called Ministers of Communion. They distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to those gathered at Mass.

  • Altar Servers - are usually youth of our faith community. These young people serve and help the priest at the altar. This ministry is open to boys and girls of school age.

  • Gift Presenters - are persons who represent the faith community by bringing forth the gifts of bread and wine to the altar.

  • Ushers - are members who gather the financial resources that will be used to fulfill the mission of the faith community.
